Walk in the park

Walking in the park
Thinking stiff
Searching my soul mate
My love to live.

I look shyly
At couples
All so engrossed
I felt lifeless.

A small voice then muttered
What’s the point living?
There’s nobody for me
Nobody caring.

Lost in the maze
I tripped off a stone
A hand just then
Reached for my support.

Oh!  That’s the guy I always fancied
Charming as if a fairy tale prince
My heart pounds faster
And I wish he doesn’t listen.

I knew, I knew
My name was christened to him
He is my man
For him I have been living.

Embracingly in his arms
His gaze so wise
I felt myself
Dissolving in his eyes.

Moments later, he asked me if I was fine
I wished to say no
But if he was with me
I could say so.

Breaking the ice we chatted animatedly
All the while
Happiness could kill me
Or I could go senile.

What he said
Touched my heart
Told me that he always
Wanted to start.
His inhibitions had held him
So had mine
I said it took so long
When everything could be fine.

Yes, we are so fearful
Of the word reject
That we often forget
It’s even worse to regret.

Why we leave things?
For destiny to sort
Realizing at last
That we lost the war which we never fought.

I wish I could
Go back and do
The things which I
Must have opted to…
But now is the time
It’s never too late to start
Just rebegin things
And walk in the park…

ps: This comes from my teenage diary. Yes, I had 'mills and boons' fancies. :D

I liked the rythm and the flow. I could hear bells ringing and soft tunes playing somewhere near.

A standing ovation to the teenager !

P.S. : On a lighter note, I wonder why I don't have those romantic falls. I only end up injuring myself :P :P

these lines are in hindi sorry for the inconvinience.
"Manjeelen unke liye amogh chhaton per jinko jana hai..
