Untitled

As I hold these grains of sand
It aches to see them
Slip away.

A curtain specked
Unfurled through my fingers.

Away...
Away it goes...

And then a smile escapes.

I know one day
Each one would come back as
Pearl.

ps: Cheers to gorgeous moments..!!

Amazing ! Great poetry and really love the way you've played with the metaphor.

May each grain that slips away transform into a beautiful pearl.

Sometimes we're so worried about the slipping grains that we miss out on stuff that would result in the most beautiful pearls...

An amazing poem.

Gorgeous, delicate and playful at the same time, not to forget profound as well!

That is destiny, isn't it? The pearl?

Lovely poem!

@ Divya:
Optimism, yeah may be. Optimism is everywhere. Why not in this verse. Free to open interpretation. But I would like to add. There are some precious moments in life and this speaks about that.
