Angel

Doe eyed, fair skinned
Delicate and so mine
That touch still lingers…

Finally I had you
After months of enquiry.

As I try embracing you
They prompt:
Careful.”

Those shiny crystals
Examining me
I wait …

Some familiar smell
Aah! You smile
And I love you back.

My tiny hands
Insufficient
Your intrinsic trust
Powerful.

Hence,
Birth of my angel.

-----x-x-x------

Year after year
Perfect mates
Partners in crime.
Maa screams there:
Lo… the devils united.”

--x-x--

PS: Rightly said, there's no other love like the love for a brother. There's no other love like the love from a brother.

HAHAHA... the last line is sooo typical of an Indian mother! perfectly portrayed!

And amazing details. I went all nervous and excited trying to imagine what would it feel to hold a newborn for the very first time! *wow*. Never had a sibling - can only imagine. Manjit actually said what I wanted to say.

Oh yes.. Sibblings are a must. I am lucky to have and loads of cousins. I guess my mum was the luckiest to have 7 siblings :O ..and hence a buket full of cousins :)

WE fight , we care, we hate , we love So much But we all know that We are ONE no matter what.. right or wrong..

Excellent POEM :)

@ All:

Thank you so much.

I'm glad that it brought back fond memories to some, while the craving to others...

I am glad I don't have a brother...or a sister....
I want to love you, and only you ..with all my heart, soul and body.

Love is YOU, you are LOVE.
